As the Founder and CEO of Orbit, Miguel Jimenez brings a dynamic blend of venture capital expertise, engineering background, and entrepreneurial vision to his role as VP of Financial Markets with Atoll. With a proven track record in growth-stage investments and deep technology ecosystems, Miguel has established himself as a strategic leader in climate tech, energy, and innovative education solutions.

 

Previously, Miguel served as Vice President at SoftBank Investment Advisers, where he was part of the investment and operating teams of the Vision Funds, a $150B+ growth-stage venture capital vehicles, deploying over $100M in strategic investments across logistics and climate technology sectors, among others. His tenure was marked by key achievements, including leading portfolio company expansions into international markets and driving significant value creation across multiple sectors.

 

A graduate of MIT Sloan School of Management with an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Miguel combines operating expertise with academic rigor. His professional journey includes roles at PowerAdvocate (now Wood Mackenzie), where he developed procurement strategies yielding exceptional returns for energy utilities; The Engine, where he conducted deep technological investment research; and Cummins, where he led an engineering team covering Asia Pacific early in his career. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Florida International University.
