In her home country of Italy, Deborah pursued a Master of Science degree in Pharmacy from Università degli Studi di Siena and a PhD in Medicinal chemistry from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
Throughout her academic path, she gained extensive experience in all stages of pharmaceutical exploration, including target discovery, hit compound identification and lead optimization, as well as pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics modeling in preclinical/clinical settings.
As visiting PhD student at MIT, she refined her skills in molecular biology and integrated them with a keen attitude for engineering, working on the translation of scientific findings into innovative medical solutions. Next, she served as Research Associate at ASRC – CUNY, where she led several experimental multidisciplinary research projects in the field of nano bio-inspired materials, resulting in numerous high-impact publications and research grants through collaborative efforts across departments and institutions.
The diverse skill repertoire enables Deborah to swiftly grasp any technology, making her a valuable asset in various business contexts. At Atoll, she focuses on investment research and market analysis, scientific and non-scientific due diligence, and on managing client relationships.
