Well-known for her poised leadership and innovative thinking, Lisa Da Silva brings years of experience with the structuring, negotiating and implementation of new and complex financing mechanisms to Atoll's clients. Lisa's knowledge and experience designing investment products in demanding arenas such as Global Climate Change and Emerging Markets, allows her to confidently work with our clients to strengthen their business plans and create attractive investment opportunities for successful outcomes with investment groups and financial organizations. As Renewable Energy and Clean Tech Sector Investment Advisor, Lisa will lead our team of financial analysts and work closely with our industry consultants to identify the specific needs of the audience - clients and investors, and develop a plan that can be flawlessly executed.
Having previously worked with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, Lisa has great experience with loans, equity, quasi-equity, structured finance and risk management products. In 2008, she created the Financial Mechanisms Group (FinMech), a new unit under IFC's Sustainability Business Innovator division, for the acquisition and management of donor funds aimed to catalyze private sector investment in sustainability projects worldwide. Under FinMech, Lisa managed the IFC Earth Fund and led the design and implementation of the private sector component of the newly created Climate Investment Funds, a multi-donor, multi-billion dollar fund. Since 2005, Lisa also managed the Environmental Business Finance Program, under which she structured IFC's first energy efficiency investment in Peru and the first-ever renewable energy mezzanine finance product. Another Emerging Market project under Lisa's leadership includes the first ever tier II equity transaction in Colombia.
What sets Lisa apart from other investment bankers is her ability to move projects forward that were otherwise considered "stuck". Her constant client focus and direct communication style have been key to her success in complex negotiations and detailed project structuring. Lisa has a master's of business administration in finance from York University in Canada and a bachelor's of arts in finance and economics from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. In addition the World Bank Group, she worked with The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company, Canada.
